Tweezers dude, they are a few bucks at Walgreens. No more waiting.

Nose hairs....I just pluck them.  Grab them between my fingernails and yank.

It either doesn't hurt at all or it hurts for about a month.   Nothing in between.

Eventually they stop growing back.   I'm not worried about the ones I can't reach, but
any that are reachable may be visible and I don't want to see that, and neither does anyone else.

Ear hairs,  same thing....but they're a bitch to grab onto.   Fortunately I have VERY few of those,
but if one does show up,  I have to wait weeks for it to grow long enough to be yankable.

On the subject of nose hairs, I have heard what I believe to be an urban legend, but may be true. Basically, if one pulls nose hairs, they run the risk of getting a potentially life-threatening infection (due to proximity to brain) in their nostril. Anyone able to shed more light?

BTW
I'm still a plucker

I was always told that about popping zits, the infection going straight to the brain and POW. Dead in two days.

Indeed:

# DANGER TRIANGLE OF THE FACE: A triangle approximately covering the nose and maxilla, and going up to the region between the eyes. Superficial Veins communicate with dural sinuses in this region.

  1. The Facial Vein has no valves. Backflow can cause infection to get into the dural sinuses, through the Deep Facial Vein (via pterygoid plexus) and Superior Ophthalmic Vein (via Cavernous Sinus)
