Was looking at the line up for AMC channel. I can't believe Sixteen Candles would ever be on AMC. Good lord I'm old. This is amongst my favorites. Along with:
The much talked about on this board: Red Dawn Weird Science, Kelly LeBrock is hot. Valley girls. American Werewolf in London St. Elmo's fire. Always said I was gonna use the St. Elmo's fire theme as my wedding march. Breakfast Club Oxford Blues Of course the Porky's series Screwballs....."I bet she gives good helmet" That is a classic line. Speaking of hot.....9 1/2 weeks with Kim Bassinger Bachelor Party Running Man and lastly Bladerunner |

Anything John Wayne
Quigley, Down Under The Hunt For Red October Indiana Jones 1,2,3 Star Wars The Dirty Dozen |

Star Wars and Smokey and the Bandit. Nothing else even comes close!
Star Wars
Jurassic Park ( I as older, but I still thought it was very awesome when it came out) |
Starwars, Red Dawn, and The Last Starfighter.
It's hard for me to pick just one. |
Oh I forgot. Found a movie of my brothers. It starred a chick name Seka......mayber that's why I am sooo into blondes.
Predator
Terminator i loved both those movies in my pre teen years |
As a kid...same as my favorite book; My Side of the Mountain.
Later years: Breakfast Club is a real good story... Always room for the Duke! |
Hey Lordtrader, I went to high school with Derrick Smith, played baseball with him. (I guess he ended up being better at football)
Just my claim to fame. |
Goonies.
Ghost Busters Red Dawn The Hunt For Red October Clear and Present Danger Patriot Games Sandlot |
All the old Monster movies!
Godzilla Frankenstein Dracula They're silly now, but really cool when you're a kid. |
Blasphemer! How could you forget Ash! |
As a kid: Warlords of the 21st Century (Don't ask why, I don't know. Just was.)
After that it was all the Brat Pack movies, and the standard 80's stuff that everyone else liked. |
Now you're talking. These youngsters probably have never heard of it. How about "The Green Door"? |

The Outsiders
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Hellraiser Breakin Platoon Hamburger Hill Endless Summer ET Lethal Weapon Labryinth Rambo Yea, I guess I'm all over the place, but it's a pretty honest answer. Good thing my parents weren't that good at monitering my television viewing at times |
Home Alone
I've watched that movie over 20 times...I can still remember all the booby traps |
North by Northwest, 1959 and it's still one of my favorites.
Gidget 1959 |
Hellraiser man forgot about that one. That scared the shit out of me. So did the first Nightmare on Elm street movie. Breakin' Yeah I guess any movie with Shabadoo and Bugaloo Shrimp is pretty good. |
MegaForce 1980
Flash Gordon 1981 Cannonball Run 1980 Empire Strikes Back Battle of the Bulge Red Dawn |
Smokey and the Bandit (just plain coolness, I had to have the Matchbox version)
Convoy (made me want to be a trucker) Star Wars (I will never forget the first promo commercial when they showed R2D2 getting whacked by the Jawas) Flash Gordon (super gay but it was cool when I was in the 4th grade) too many to just pick one. |
Ghostbusters (I just couldn't apprecaite some of the humor till I got older)
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Star Wars ETA: Predator, Alien, and Aliens |
Man, I haven't heard that name in a while. She's one of my all time favorite pron stars. Only saw one of her movies, but she was in Club all the time back in the day. Back to the topic, one of my favorite movies as a kid was Blue Lagoon because of the bewbies. In the G-rated sense, I guess I have to go cliche and say Star Wars. |
Back To The Future
Ghostbusters Red Dawn Ferris Bueller's Day Off Die Hard The Star Wars Trilogy Wayne's World Hot Shots! To name a few...sure the last two sneak into my teenage years, but hey. |
The Sherlock Holmes films with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. And any WWII film.
GL |
My favorites were anything that was produced by Golan and Globus.........
Dr Zhivago. Good music, good cast. It was one of the first movies I bought back when VHS first came out. Pre-video I would try to catch it every couple of years when it came through town on the student film circuit.
It was a little before my time (born in 70)....
THE GREEN BERETS It was on TBS all the time |
When I was a kid...stuff like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, as well as Red Dawn (No, I'm not bullshitting)
Top Gun, Princess Bride, Quigley Down Under, Lonesome Dove, Indiana Jones, Big Trouble in Little China, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Thats all I can think of right now. Most of them are still on the "watch at least once a month" list.
ETA Karate Kid and Best of the Best. And Commando. And Under Siege. |
As far as I know Lovelace wasn't in either of those movies. Debbie does Dallas starred Bambi Wood and Behind the Green Door starred Marilyn Chambers. |
