I've got a loaded 100 round Beta-C mag and it would probably be one of three AR15s...

My Sig Equinox w/155gr Rangers is on me. I'm also 3 steps from my AR loaded with 75gr TAP.
Sig 229 in .40 is in the desk 12+1 w/ 4 spare mags. The 870 is about two feet beyond that w/ 6+1 2 3/4 00 Buck in it plus 3 more 00 and 2 slugs on the shell holder.
Right now on me i have a USP Comp. 9MM. At home, well that's a whole other story.
Why do you have the two slugs? Is it for the utility of blasting through a wall? Just curious. |
Suppose it would be my SA 1911. Yes I could go to the AR, but I love my 1911
The S&W Mdl 13 here in the desk drawer. Bedside is the BHP.

I've done that a few times too . Yesterday I stuck a spare mag in my jeans back pocket going around town, just loose and all that, no issues. btw: 1911 here, 4in barrel |

If someones breaking in ,
Taurus PT-92 AFS in 9mm. I've shot several thousand rounds through it in the last decade. Never a single jam.Ever ! Not the most accurate ,nor the greatest trigger. It's always been dependable though. If it's outside,my PTR-91 . .308 ,because people like to hide behind things. |
Browning Hi Power, about an arm's length aaway. An AR10 is about 6 feet away; slap in a magazine and you can't run far enough fast enough. Maybe I wasn't an Army or Marine sniper, but you'll still die tired. Yoiu wouldn't want me after you with my former primary weapon (F4).
would it be wrong for me to say an AR-15 or do I have to jump on the pistol bandwagon?
Right now?
In the office maybe my back-scratcher or I could throw my computer mouse at the attacker. We have 'safe workplace' rules, and firearms will send you home without a job right the hell now. I also have a heavy HP Network Switch to use as a blunt weapon???? |
Oh, so you're not just happy to see me. |
S&W 340PD in .357 Mag. But I am at work so no rifle available. The Noisey Cricket will have to do.
Sig 226 DAK in .357sig durning the day / Glock M19 in bedroom
At the moment I am 15 seconds away from my G22, another 15 seconds away from extra mags...and maybe 1 minute away from my M4. (a minute because it is lockeed away with the bolt out)
I would say that as long as I am home, available firepower isnt a concern of mine. |
At the moment, a Star Model B.
Later this evening it will be an XD40. |
Glock 30 within reach. 870 and AR within 7 feet. I can't make up my mind....
Beretta 9000 on my hip. .40 S&W - 10+1 of Federal 155 grain JHP's and spare mag on my belt.
Woot!!! +1 10mm bay Bay!! |
OK.. laugh it up! I have a Beretta model 21a in .22 LR in my computer desk! Loaded with a mean load of CCI Stingers!
It should let me fight my way to the safe and the AR's, one of them a 6.8 SPC with V-max bullet handloads in it! Or one of my 3 12 gauges, my 3030 lever gun, yada yada yada... |
+1 currently stuck on a liberal college campus |

Right now my pocket knife. But if I was carying, my g26 with Speer gold dot 124gr +P. At home if I had a littel time a 20g M500. I think it is interesting how this being AR15.com how many people including myself would not grab an AR at first choice. I think that it is because people have other gun they know are more reliable. That and they are smart enough to know the AR my not suit there particular need at the time.
SA XD 9mm. . . It's what I have, and it's about 12 feet away from me.
Well, if someone kicked the door down, I have a Benelli M3T loaded with 9 rounds of 00 buck sitting about 6 inches from my chair.
I think that will do. |
Yezzer, i be too gabbin the G fotay because I be professional enuf. |
Well in a lot of places a responsible gun owner wouldn't grab a centerfire rifle, such as an AR15, because the dangers of penetration or shots carrying great distances beyond the intended target it too great. In an apartment or even a residential neighborhood a shotgun with shot or a handgun is a much safer choice most of the time, unless you are facing some SERIOUS opposition with heavy weapons and body armor. EDIT for spelling |
It depends .
I usually carry a Kahr K9 and a Keltec P3AT when I'm away from the house . When I'm home . It all depends on where I am in the house , but a weapon is never more then 2 steps away |
come on now, this has been proven time and time again. see how much handgun ammo penetrates standard wallboard www.theboxotruth.com/ |

Over penetration is an issue with most everything. If you miss your target, you're going to punch through walls - even with a handgun or shotgun. Read 'em and weep: www.theboxotruth.com/ |
