What are your favorite dried fruit/meat recipes? I have one of those old ranges that have a pilot light so the oven is always slightly warm. I got the idea tonight to take advantage of it. I might try some fruit first and see how that goes... beef jerky anyone?

Tell the butcher you want to make beef jerky. He will slice it up for you nice and thin. Marinate for 24 hours, then place in a pan with a rack so the meat is suspended. set the oven to the lowest setting and crack the door open to let moisture out. In about 8-12 hours you will have jerky. o to Gun show and sell said jerky while telling prospective buyers that you were a Navy SEAL/Space Chuttle Door Gunner.
