Are they made in different calibers such as 8m and 7.62 x 54?  Also, what price range would I expect to pay for one that is in relatively nice cond?  thanks for the help

I know they came in 8mm Mauser and some were even made in 7mm Mauser. I don't think they were ever made for a rimmed cartridge like the 7.62x54. You can get a good shooter for around $100 in 8mm. It would cost more if you found one in 7mm as they are a bit more rare.
