I would guess 10-20 million. You know he's worth it as far as what he brings in to the company.

Apparently, he banks the money he makes from the tonight show.

He only spends the money he makes doing stand up (which he still does even though he's making a boatload doing the tonight show).

I'd do it. While I would dearly love having (effectively) unlimited funds to buy things for myself, there's really no way I could spend that much money. Most of it would go into savings and what I didn't spend on myself would be tithed or donated to charity. I certainly don't need all that money in order to live happily.

Doesn't Letterman fall somewhere in here? Doesn't he own part/all of some kind of production company that owns lots of other shows along with his own?

I saw Leno in a bit part late last night sitting in a jail cell with JJ on an episode of "Good Times" (70's). He's come a ways.

I have heard him say that also. He seems like a decent guy. Married to the same woman for 25 years. Doesn't make an ass of himself in the media. Very funny too.
