You dream about buying VLTOR stocks.... (happened a month ago)

When walking through the mall you mistake "Wilson's Leather' for 'Wilson Combat' (no lie, it happened today) and upon realizing your mistake you become horribly depressed having all hope of ever fondling such toys brutally crushed...

You get the same e-mail from two people and you reply to the second one with a "DUPE".

I just got an email with a document attached. It was a compilation report of a bunch of mini-reports a task force here at work did for a new product/service launch.

It looked good, until I got to my section. IIRC x 2; IMHO x 3.

I figured the numbnuts who was putting them together would understand the shorthand and spell it out......... I figured wrong. Thank goodness it wasn't the final draft.

I've also wanted to use the smilies (static and animated) in email before, since they conveyed the proper attitude.

Especially these:

Awww that's sad! I went past a Wilson's something-or-nuther and thought the same thing.

I've also said LOL... well out loud before. But this was years ago. It sounded like "Lull" when pronounced. Geez.

I've thought to myself many a time "Chuck Norris wouldn't put up with this crap" but somehow manage to keep myself from doing anything too bizarre in public... sometimes.

A lot of times I put into practice the "get both" though.

I often find myself thinking in net acronyms, which is very odd because they're never spoken. I would have thought they'd be stored in another part of the brain. Nonetheless, I often find myself answering a question " <thinking 'IIRC'> . . .translating. . . If I recall correctly. . . ."

Yes, but some mail formats will render them as attachments, instead of placing them "in-line;" no matter what they look like before you send them, the recipient will get an email with a 1kb .gif (the smiley) as an attachment.

I almost said "+1" to one a younger brother (half brother, 17 yrs younger) when I went to visit the Dad and family during Christmas.

I could only imagine the look on the face if I had said:

+1

Upon explanation

Upon review of some threads

and the look on my face afterwards.

Ugh... had a similar dream where I spied a 2 man Nazi sniper & spotter (did they even operate that way?) in winter camo working their way toward my house from out on the (frozen) lake I live on. Boy, they moved fast for a sniper team, because it seemed like they covered a hundred yards in 5 seconds (dreams work that way). But when they ultimately made it to my window, I had a 55 grain surprize for each of 'em. I too, remember that dream so vividly it's scary.

(Note to self: seek professional help soon)

When you use "IBTL" on another board and people ask what it means.

Oh, and +2 on the 87!!

eta - I used the term "sweater puppies" at lunch the other day and one of the guys about shot his drink through his nose. Too damn funny.
