I thought Midgets were all but gone and only Dwarves remained.
Are there any midgets left? The only little people around are not proportionate and usually have stubby limbs and other malformed body parts. When I think of midgets I thought of the ones you used to see in the Little Rascals and old shows like that. |

I dont think is is proportioned like the midgets of the old days. His arms are more like someone who has dwarfism. ETA I call em by whatever their name is. Are there any little folk here that can give us some good info? Googling comes up with all kinds of stuff. We have a cleaning lady that is very short and I wanted to know a little about the disorder. I dont call her anythign but by her name but its sure nice to be able to have some knowledge instead of always having questions in the back of my mind. Sure I could ask her but I do not speak Spanish and She does not speak English. Guess I will googling for a bit. |

I am a noraml adult, but I find it highly inapropriate to ask such a question I have a midgett friend, he laughs at people who are trying to be PC. They generally dont care 'cause they know midgets is just a name. Midget does not equal FAG for a gay or carpet muncher for a Les. Is just dosent matter as long as it is not detrimental

MIdget is a descriptive term of the physique, not an insult (as it is used by me) or a descriptive term of the value of the person. For pete's sake, just chill.
------ This reminds me of an evil scheme I have pondered: there are minimum lengths on rifles, as we know... Could a midget sue under ADA to have these specific length requirements removed? A rifle that met the usual ATF minimums would be way too large for some of the shorter midgets walking the country. Do midgets shoot at all? What guns do they use? I have only ever known one such person, and they had no interest in shooting. I don't know if that was because they just didn't anyway, or if there were no suitable arms. Smaller-caliber revolvers would be possible but any pistol that fed through the grip would probably be out. And of course rifles would all be way too long. ~~~ |

That would still require special permission on an individual basis, and (if they made such an allowance for people under a certain height) that would involve measuring the height of applicants--a demeaning process in itself. If the law requires that the minimum length for longarms be too long for midgets to use, then that is a discriminatory law, isn't it? ~ |
