Ok, we're hosting a dinner club coming up next weekend, theme is Thai.

Thanks to your help, we've chosen Pad Thai as the main dish.

I also need to supply the beer.   I went to a liquor store in an asian part of town to see what
they had to choose from.  I found Ashai, Sapporo, Singha, Tsingtao (IIRC)

Seeing how it's a Thai theme, I'd like to find a decent beer from there. (Singha being from Thailand)

any suggestions ?

thanks again

Sapporo is my personal favorite.  The sapporo reserve in the 16oz cans is great, but sapporo draft in the bottle works as well.  Asahi extra dry is by far the most popular.

Singha would be a correct choice for a Thai dinner.

It isn't real Singha unless you have formaldehyde in it.
That shit was so nasty none of us would drink it on Cobra Gold and switch to Mekong whiskey and Pepsi.

+2 Sapporo is about the only asian beer I will drink on occasion, Kirin and Asahi are not very good.

The Singha sold here in the States is fairly decent beer. Grab a six-pack and try a bottle. It goes down very well with Phad Thai and larb.

Ashai or Sapporo.  Even in other Asian countries they drink this stuff.

Kirin ichiban is a good Japanese beer I can get around here. Anyone ever seen any Korean beer here in the states? I almost miss OB Lager and Hite.

Used to drink Singha, Tiger, and Anchor when I lived in Malaysia. Singha was the better of the 3.
