We have a mountian of stuffed animals for our daughter.  We're sorting them out and going to get rid of most of them.

What the heck do you do with nice, clean, used stuffed animals?  I'd like to donate them, but to whom?

Hospitals do not want them,  they can carry and transmit disease too easily.

Most hospitals prefer toys with hard surfaces that can be treated with antiseptic.

I give out tons of stuffed bears to kids who just had their house burn down, their parent or sibling get evacced, or some kind of bad thing happen to them.

Goodwill.  Salvation Army.

Toys for Tots only takes NIB, someone else mentioned hospitals don't want the furry critters for antiseptic reasons.

Give them to your local LE agency, child protective services unit, or child advocacy center.  We quite often give them out to abused children.

agree, iraqi children are always looking for toys or stuffed animals from soldiers. Give some to the salvation army also.
God bless.

They make quite enjoyable but messy to clean up machinegun targets.
