Where are you in Texas? You friend wouldnt happen to a member of the Holder family would he?
nope |
I took the pics myself. There is nothing Photoshopped. |
Thousands of dollars in taxadermy and only a 27inch tv?
That room is amazing. I work with a physician who has one very similar. He has gone on 2 polar bear hunts at 25K a pop and has not bagged one yet. |
That rivals Sportsman's Warehouse. Do they want to adopt a 32 year old son?
In the 2nd pic, what is that small animal head up and to the right of the gun box?
My sentiments exactly! |
I didn't want to be the first to say it.......but some of them do look 'shoped. I take your word it isn't. That is a hell of a trophy room. Is that guy a dentist?? |
He's not a Dentist, the pics aren't photoshoped and there was no Wolfe ammo used in the killing of these animals. |
probably due to the flash of the camera creating such sharp lines. |
Ultimate? Not by a long shot, I'm sure.
While in Scotland, we visited Dunrobin Castle -- from the Sutherland Clan. They had a separate trophy room/museum dating back several hundered years. Included Pictish Stones, and "treasures" from all over the world. It's nice for someone's personal house though. |
Now I know you're lying......no one could afford enough ammo to kill that much shit without using Wolf. j/k |
Whoa...now that's a room I wouldn't go into on a dark and stormy night.
Otherwise, pretty cool. I'll have to make sure the Mr doesn't see this thread or I'll never hear the end of the 'I want a trophy room' rant. |
I would say that Dale Earnhardt's old shop is the most impressive I have seen pics of. Do you have pics from Dunrobin Castle? |
that is amazing, just think of all the money it took to go on each one of those hunts, much less all the taxidermy expenses, and that pool table looks awesome.
Not of the trophy room/museum. Photography was prohibited inside. I do have pics of the Castle and the falconry display. They had full mount crocs, hippos, warthogs, a dual "head mount" of giraffes, including most of the necks. They also had display cases of most of the Scottish wildlife type that roam the ground. All manner of birds, ducks, geese, weasels, rodents, etc. |
I laughed when I was the cap wearing Warthog. I love it!
I really like the Mountain Lion jumping in mid-air! That's pretty awesome. And the last two pics with the Lynx and Mountain Lion reclining in the tree branchs are cool mounts too. For me it isn't that there's so many dead animals in the room, it's that there's so many mounts the room looks "cluttered." |
My dad shot something like that in Korea. It might be a barking deer. The one my dad shot had "fangs". It was pretty small. |
I wish my trophy room was "cluttered"! |
*incoming massive flame/thread derail*
What the fuck is the point of hunting for all that? I simply dont understand why people just kill other animals like that. I could understand hunting animals like a group overpopulated deer and such, but to kill animals like a lion or a lynx(elephants too I assume?)wtf? You dont eat lynxs, nor do you need their fur to wear during winters, so why kill it? All that kind of hunting does is make your penis feel bigger. |
Start your own thread.....don't shit in this one. |
Does he have a furcoat collection to go along with the mounted heads?
BTW, Cpt Jordan's pops house looks like that. |
Oh yeah, better "cluttered" then echo producing "empty." I do like the wall with the African gazelles and African shields, spears and such. That's a great looking wall. I also like the mounts on the wall in a "European hunting lodge" style. Nice and classic.
You're right about that. Be a gentleman and start a new thread please. |

The guy can probably tell an interesting story about every mount in the place.
I can only hope in 30 years my trophy room has one tenth the variety and number of animals as his does.

He owns a car dealership and he also invests in real estate. |
When I was a kid, my neighbor's house looked very similar. Having seen it quite often as a kid, I had the mistaken notion that everyone grew up and went hunting in Africa.
[/AceVentura] MY! What a lovely room of DEATH![/AceVentura]
Awesome. I got a kick out of the half of a mountain goat coming out of the wall. |
Quick! Get the phone!! I think PETA is calling to remind you of thier meeting tonight. |
Pretty impressive, a North American Grand slam of sheep X2!!!!!!!!!!!
Myself, not too big on the african stuff and I did notice a lack of Elk! Wonder if he took them all or purchased some? |
Somehwere, a lonely peta member is sobbing uncontrollably. I like it.
He and his wife killed all of them except a few, which his Dad killed. He inherited those from his Dad. One interesting thing in the room is a large bowl filled with dozens of filled/canceled passports belonging to he and his wife. |
Pretty cool Just had to ask becuase my taxadermist does big business by buying skins on the net, mounting them and re-selling them. When I dropped off my buck from this year, he had just gotten done with a Wolverine he had bought over the net. It was already sold for over 5K. |
He appears to be a very wealthy man. But his taxidermist is wealthier!
Seriously though, not only is the volume impressive, but the quality of the mounts is impressive as well. I'd like to know who his favorite taxidermist is. |
I'm not sure who he uses. I think he mentioned that the guy was in California. I can find out if it's important to you. |

Now its time for the most dangerous game of all.
