Valley police say they need the public's help to find a man who they say poses as one of their own.
Officers say Danny Glover, 31, uses a fake ID to stage a series of frauds and burglaries.
"He has been known to acquire law enforcement materials like shirts and hats with emblems for a specific city or municipality," said Sgt. Paul Penzone of the Phoenix Police Department.
"This guy is dangerous. He's supposed to be law enforcement, he's armed and dangerous and he's stealing identification and information everywhere he goes. "
Officers say Glover has at times masqueraded as a Chandler and a Phoenix officer. He's also said to have dressed as an Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputy and possibly a U.S Marshal.
Penzone says Glover goes into business and tries to gain credit on the strength of his law enforcement credentials.
"He shows his face often enough and he's arrogant enough that someone's going to see him," he said. "Take a good look at him because he might be using your name and your credit. If you see him you have to call Silent Witness immediately or call 911. Take him off the street."
Officers say Glover has a long history of burglarizing people's cars, stealing personal information and then spending his victim's money. He may also be the center of a burglary and ID theft ring.
