My thirteen year old woke me up at 5:00 this morning. He still gets as excited about Christmas
morning as he did when he was 4 or 5 which is cool with me.

His 25 and 19 year old brothers on the other hand were not exactly
thrilled to get up so early.

He actually woke up at 4:30AM, but allowed me and his mom
to catch another half hour of sleep before he woke us up.

The best part now that the kids are older, is that I didn't have to stay up
'til three in the morning  putting together toys and cursing a blue streak
while doing it.

What time did your little ones wake you up this morning?

And by the way, Merry Christmas all.

He's still snoozing in his bed. He is 3 and was too excited to fall asleep last night.  He should be up very soon though.

My kids are all grown, pretty quiet here right now.

The house will fill up later in the day though.

kids wake me up?  Ha, I can't wait to wake them up. It's 7:20 and my 5 and 3 Y.O. are still sleeping. I'm the one who can't wait for them to get up. I never understood back in the day when my parents told me that it was enough just seeing our faces on christmas day. Now that I'm in that position nothing makes more sense to me!

I was up at 4 to get ready for work. Sucks having to work but the pay can't be beat. The kids spent the night at their mother's place and woke up just before 7.  The kids will be waiting for me when I get home around 6 to do Christmas with me. Can't wait to see their faces when they open their new snowmobile.
Merry Christmas to everyone

+1

Having a happy child on Christmas morning can't be beat.
Especially when they are little.  I wish all of mine could be three and five again.

My wife and I put our 7 year old daughter to bed with strict instructions not to wake us up or go downstairs until 6:30.  We even put a line of large stuffed animals in front of the staircase to "remind" her not to go down.

She started bouncing around in her room and running down the hallway at 4:00 keeping us up until 6:30 at which point she turned on the light and shouted "let's go!".

zzzzzzz. . . . . .

Her favorite gift appears to be a "Password Journal" that doesn't open unless the owner says the secret password.  I tried to get in it using her password and it started yelling "Intruder!" with a loud siren noise.  She liked that and had me try to get into it a few more times so she could hear the siren

She's still in bed. She's never been an early riser, even for Christmas.

Now my sis and I were always up at the buttcrack of dawn or before. We usually were sent back to bed until mom got up. I've been up for an hour and a half now. It shouldn't be much longer though.

5:50 AM this morning.  In-Laws are in town with us and I was hoping we could sleep in a little to let them have time with her.. but no dice.

It was a great morning watching her open gifts.  Merry Christmas to all!

Told my daughter not before 0630.
Sure enough I hear her come tiptoeing downstairs at 0620, not bad but being a dad I had to send her back up for anouther 10 minutes.
Then I had to make her wait until I had fed the dog, got dressed, and had some pepsi.

She was bouncing off the walls by the time I said it was ok to open presents.

Santa brought the Norvo virus with him last night . I have a 4 year old and a set of 22 month old twins(B+G). The twins were up at 0130 vomiting so my wife and I had a long night.

The 4 year old got up at 0730 and it was like magic to him. I love kids at this age.

Twins seem to be doing better.

Merry Christmas

My 4 yr old got up between 12-1am to go to the bathroom..She walked right through the living room and didn't see the bike under the tree.  2 yr old woke up at approx 7am raring to go..Just built a "Shake N Go" racetrack in his room...hopefully won't see them for a few hours cause I gotta do the bird.

In laws are on their way...good news is they are just passing through

My 2 year old got up at normal time (about 0630), wandered out to the living room, saw the presents, and freaked out.  She has a bit of a neat streak, and it took me ten minutes to convince her that we hadn't made a mess just to bother her.  She's loving it now.

We got the kids up at about 6:45 AM.

I'm still a kid at heart in many ways - I usually get up a 6:00 AM on Christmas.
