I'm building a hydraulic driven stump grinder. I was going to buy a Motor built by Commercial Intertech. The specs: 2" bushing unit, 3500 PSI, 8.47 cu in 1 3/8", keyed shaft, 4 bolt flange. The quote I got is $1100. But another shop recommended going with a Materis built motor that is a copy of the Commercial for $700. That saves me $500. If any one here has any knowledge about these units and the durability of the Materise compared to the Commercial please post it.

Thanks

Isn't imatation the sincerest form of flattery? If so, I'd buy the original model mfgr, IMO.
