That album "Combat Rock" was totaly Anti-American listen to the words boys. I like the Clash but Joe didn't like us.

Not true, he liked Sandinistas and lefty BS generally. The Clash were fascinated by America in general though, particularly hip-hop culture and cowboys. I liked Joe, although a lefty he at least came from the "working class yob" background (although I think his dad was a diplomat) rather than the university limousine liberal group. RIP. |
