Doctors have me on 10mgs of slow release Oxycodone twice a day along with 5/325mg regular Oxycodones every 6 hours as needed. Also on Welbutrin 150mg twice daily for quitting smoking and general stuff. Last but not least they are trying me out on Lyrica 150mg twice daily too.

Problem is i took my doses way too close together today 1700 and then again at 2100...feeling a little shaky now and numb in the hands and head. Anything to worry about? Just ride it out?

I'm just an EMT, not a Paramedic, but I'd suggest you call for an ambulance or get a ride to the ER if you still feel this way.  Numbness isn't a good.  You might not think its serious but you could be having problems with your medications conflicting...  Your blood pressure could have dropped considerably if you feel light headed.

It is some dangerous stuff if you OD, which is pretty easy.  My father passed away in 2002 from an accidental overdose (was drunk and thought they were just like tylenol).  Not sure how many he took, but out of a partially used bottle of 30, there were 12 left.  Doc in intensive care said that he probably took 7 of them or so.  That plus a fifth of Vodka did him in.  It was a horrible death.  I really regret now that I did CPR.

Dude, you can't mix Oxycon with all that other stuff.

You need to send it to me right away, and I will dispose of it safely.

I am a pathologist, which is a medical specialty that allows your "pharmacology-fu" to grow weak,as time goes by!

Conversely, ask your primary care doc if he/she remembers what cell types you have in the gastric mucosa, and see if they remember

Or ask about how you know (histologically) when you've reached the ge junction

Glad he made it thru okay. Plenty tolerant to the narcs for sure by now.

Be careful though guys. This shit does kill people and its overuse and abuse is a national disgrace. Nobody can take the shit for even close to that long and not become addicted. Doesn't happen.

Everything is prescribed and double checked. My mistake was not paying attention and taking the doses way too close together. It was a fun ride at some points ad i can see now why people take large amounts of opiates. Not my cup of tea though. I will take my regular amount to operate. Question though: Anyone know how much the mg equivalent is of a street heroin shot?...ON average i know it obviously varies all over.

You're a pathologist?  You must be the coolest pathologist on the planet, then.

BTW, simple columnar cells, parietal cells, chief cells: but I'm not a GP either.

Actually it's often the  pathologist who saves your life for the long term and not the prima donna surgeons.
