TV has been building "Consumers" since the first paid commercial .

Not always if you repeat shit enough times people ignore you. 8 ads on one channel is pushing it in a single night.

If Repeat loudly and often made sales my company would have an easier job. We would just buy blocks of air time and repeat the commercial over and over.

Yes, but the tv isnt needed to build hype for the xbox360. The hype is already there. They simply need to get enough on the shelf, in case you didnt notice Microsoft sent out its second shipment and they have already sold out. A few big retailers have yet to get their shipment but the ones who have sold out same day with in hours.

Beanie babys are the perfect example. How many ads did you see for beanie babies. But look at the frenzy. Word of mouth is better than any tv commercial.
