I had forgotten how good it feels to do something for another person without them knowing. Today, my wife and I were eating lunch at a restraunt when I saw a young Marine dining with some of her friends. They appeared to be civilians by their dress and grooming. When I paid for my meals, I had the counter person put the Marines meal on my ticket. My wife was oblivious to this due to the lingering effects of some anesthesia she had been under. Only me and the teller knew about it and when I told her what I wanted to do she started tearing up. It felt good to do something like that. I'll have to make a habit of it. If you get a chance, try it. |

attaboy!!!!!! I live next to BAMC... probably the best burn ward in the world. We have a lot of the soldiers' and their families here. Always try to do something for the folks that put their butts on the line for the rest of us. Even if it's just a beer at the C-store of a meal at Crackerbarrel. |
