There was a thread on gun shows on another forum I frequent.  One poster mentioned that he stopped going to gunshows when the feds started waiting in the parking lot and writing down all the license plate numbers of the show visitors.

Has anyone seen this being done anywhere?  I've never seen them doing this.  Doesn't mean they weren't, just that I've never seen it.

Man, I sure wouldn't want the job of writing down those numbers.
I was at the show in Harrisburg, PA yesterday and the parking lot at the Argicultural complex was packed.  And it was really cold out there.
What the Hell is the FBI going to do with the license numbers of half of the residents of the State of Pennsylvania?

Anyone stupid enough to believe BATFE lurks in parking lots to write down license numbers isn't smart enough to own firearms--or sharp objects.

Absolutely!!!!  Everyone knows behind the show building is where the "gunshow loophole" sales happen!!!!!!! That's where the agents lurk now!!!!!

we did have an incident a couple of years ago in birmingham with undercover ATF trying to entice dealers into under the table sales at shows.
