Goddamnit!

I haven't had a cold in a couple of years.

My luck has run out.

And Vicks just changed the formula of nyqil to remove pseudoephedrine so the meth heads can't use it in their labs.

First cold I've had in a long time. I sound like crap but don't feel that bad aside from the stuffed up head clogging my thoughts.

uggg

Oh well. I got it from my adorable four month old niece... I wouldn't change a thing.

I was just off work sick the past few days with a bad cold. It sucked. Waking up in the morning was horrible. Tuesday night I got NO sleep. Then I finally fall asleep at 7:00am and my secondary phone rings at 7 freaking 30. Nobody has that # except my friend. I didn't answer and I told him why later.

I'm back at work today and I think my boss is pissed at me. Still though, being the receptionist I stand a better chance than anybody of getting everybody sick. It's best I just stay home.

+1 on the garlic. Almost every thing my wife cooks has garlic in it. On occasion I eat it raw. And I also drink at a minimum 3 cups of black tea per day.

I have it too. Haven't missed a day of work in 2 years until yesterday.

ETA: On the + side at least you can take cold medicine, it all gives me nosebleeds from hell. Try the zycam swabs (another thing I can't take) my folks say they work great.

I tried the zycam stuff, got some after you reminded me about it yesterday.

It seems to have done something as the cold has seemed to weakened quite a bit since yesterday morning. I still felt horrible when I woke up today, but it's running out now. Should be fine with the usual post cold stuffy nose for a while tomorrow.

It's kind of hard to believe that just rubbing the snot around the inside of your nostrils could really do anything. Maybe it's placebo effect, or maybe the cold would have gone away in two days anyway. ?
