A while back I had (purchased and since lost and changed computers) a program where you can print labels for cd covers that then adhere on with a sticky back. Do any of you guys know of a free program that allows you to copy and paste images and then calibrates it correctly to print onto the circular labels? Thansk. |

paper labels are bad for your cd/dvd drive. They throw your disc off balance and they also heat up inside the drive, weakening the adhesive and then it starts to peel and/or curl and it jams the drive. Get a cheap printer that handles mat finish printable cd./dvd's |

Most Linux distributions ship with a ton of them (sorry, had to). For Windows, I just use the software that came with my (Memorex?) label kit. It was cheap. It comes with the tool to center and evenly press the label onto the CD. You only need to buy it once. After that, you can just buy paper refills. |
VERY good point |
Yes it is, but I have to admit all of my paper labeled CDs are fine. One of these days I'll be sorry. Perhaps it's because my paper labeled CDs are on install discs only, and don't see much use at all. If it were a music CD, it might be a different story. Of course, those are all ripped to MP3, so I guess Im fine there too. Once, I even refilled an ink cartridge ( |
