Dinner pic = gun + food. No staplers or measuring instruments. Gloftoe's a good cook. We both worked on dinner tonight. There's a pot of pinto beans simmering on the stove for tomorrow! |

MissusGee knows All About my man card... We made sammiches. It Was Nice. |
I am happy to share the recipe, especially since your tip on the roast + pepperoncini + Italian dressing + slow cooker is something I make every couple of weeks! This recipe will work for doves, venison, beef, or just about any red meat. Meat - anywhere from 1/2 -2 lbs 1/2 - 1 cup flour for dredging salt pepper oil (canola or vegetable) garlic powder 1/2 cup flour for gravy 1 cup water 4 cups chicken broth Slice meat into strips approximately 1/2 inch thin, 1 inch wide, and 2 inches long (or so; like you're making stroganoff). Lightly dredge in flour seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In large pan, heat about 1.5 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat. Add the meat and cook until nicely browned. Remove meat. Add a little more oil or bacon grease as desired. Mix 1 cup water into 1/2 cup flour. Add the flour/water mixture to the oil and cook the roux until peanut-butter colored or darker. It will stick like the dickens - don't worry about. Once roux is dark enough, slowly add chicken stock, whisking well to keep lumps at bay and to scrape up the stuck stuff on the pan. Once all the stock is incorporated, add the meat back in and barely simmer for an hour or until tender. Serve over rice. Really simple and tasty. Definitely something you could whip up at deer camp or camping with a Dutch oven! |
No, but apparently you are.
Where do you morons get these crazy ideas?
Er, food and gun? What's missing? Your knowledge of dinner pics?
Sigh. Reading comprehension isn't taught in school anymore is it..... Attention retards who haven't yet gotten the message! Dinner pics are made up of TWO things--Food and Firearm. The rest is extraneous bullshit demonstrative of your lack of knowledge on the subject. |
I will have to try that soon. It sounds awesome. |
Obviously the standards have changed. Where you been? And you could use some manners in your replies. |
The standards have not changed. You mistakenly believed someone who thought wrong. You can go cry on your mom's shoulder or the pit, though. Please don't pollute MrsG's thread in the mean time. |
There is no need to be a complete asshole about this. I just like the staplers like in most dinner posts. Please forgive my horrendous error in judgment great dinner pic guru.
