Lets say the Supreme Court rules Gun Control unconstitutional and strips congresses authority to regulate firearms. What will gun opponents attack then? Is ammunition safe from legislation? I think they will find some way to drasticly cut ammo availability. Your thoughts. |
Well if "Gun Control unconstitutional" is effective 'blocking guns' and guns with out ammo is usless, , then not allowing ammo would 'block guns'. To use a line from the movie Apollo 13: "If the 'chutes don't open John, then what's the point?" |
+1 Althought the bluest states already have laws that far exceed the restrictions placed at the federal level, as do many red states. |
I was thinking that the only way the SC woudl roll gun control back is to rule that it is an individual right. And blue states can't enact personal expression laws that are more restrictive than federal laws. (Do they |

State laws cannot go against the constitution if I understand it. So if those who can interpet the Constitution(S.C.) rule that it is a individual right states cannot go against it if I understand it correctly. Alitos dissenting opinion in a previous ruling if it were to be the new S.C.s majority opinion MGs would be for sale again, but I do not think it would overturn all GC laws. I think that would have to be the Miller ruling. 9th Circuit upheld by S.C. 1939. So we agree they would ban or limit ammo???????????? Also side note did anyone here anything about the 9th circuit being broken up???? |

It's simple, all they've got to do is introduce really high taxes on ammo, primers, key parts such as barrels since that's something that you really can't make at home, and of course anything with a serial number. Afterall, a tax isn't really gun control, it's a way for the feds, state, etc to get money. |
