| I'll be working in Chalmette next week helping out a friend at his machine shop. Anybody have info on the region? My BIL lives in Pearl River and I'll be staying there. Since I don't have a Chalmette address, I will probably be stopped at the parish line. They say you need a pass to get into the parish if you don't live there. Are the police still doing searches of vehicles? I hear traffic is awful too. |

I worked in Chalmette about a month ago . I was in a power company truck so I could go anywhere I wanted . I saw LEO 's checking ID's at the checkpoints . No vehicle searches though . I'll see if anybody at the office knows of there is any restrictions on entry . You could also call the Louisiana State Police . 1-800-469 4828 I know that St. Bernard Parish has a website . Probably info there . |
