Hey guys, I have a polaris sportsman 700 and really need it for work tomarrow. However I lost the key. Does anyone know how to hotwire it without ruining it so I can use the key again when I find it? Don't wory it really is mine I am not trying to steal it. Thanks pete *Found it...sorry if I wasted board space* |

Sorry to hear it. It happened to me over at a friends house at night, and we spent over an hour looking for it in the dark with flashlights. Turned out it got into the little pocket in my jeans. Is this the spare that you lost? You should get a great big bouyant key ring. The only drawback is that sometimes on sharp turns it gets twisted and turns off the engine. My keys never leave the ignition anymore. Don't hotwire it. You'll regret it later. How far away is the dealer? Try and get ahold of them. Oh, and good call on the 4wheeler. Nice. I have the 400 Sportsman. Great machines. Do you have a neighbor that can lend you a machine for the day? |
Why would i regret hotwiring it? Does it ruin anything? It is the only key that I have, I bought it used. I guess I should have made a few copies of it. There is noone I can barrow one from for the day. The closest dealer is about an hour away. |
It is a 2002 with an electric start. |
