1) Ryan Phillippe

Not Doogie Howser, not Justin Timberlake.

2) Must be bad directing, cuz in The Way of the Gun he had decent 1911 form, as seen above.

ETA: He also had a Milt Sparks Summer Special holster in that movie. Whoever directed it had some good taste.

Those were my first thoughts as well. He looks like he should be trying out for a "boy band" not carrying a badge. He could be a great cop for all I know, but that pic makes him look about 16-17 with his daddy's uniform on.
