I wish President Bush would grow a pair and nominate this fine person.

or Miguel Estrada. I supported John roberts but I wish the President had nominated Scalia or Thomas to Chief Justice. It would have been the perfect way to throw down the glove and challenge the Democrats. Think of it, hearings for Chief Justice with Scalia ripping leahy and Biden, follow that with hearings for Roberts and the Rogers Brown making Boxer look like idiot she is. Would have been a rockin' good time!

Ted Olson's been mentioned too.  He argued US government cases in the Supreme Court.

Ted's got a sympathy card too, his wife was on one of the 9/11 flights IIRC.  That would be interesting.
