| Who here hates/is afraid of spiders, I consider myself a bit of an arachiphobe. We just caught a wolf spider about the size of a half dollr here at my work. I don't know just something about the way they look and the thought of those fangs sinking in my skin scares the crap out of me. Gettin chills just thinking about it. |

Wolfie won't hurt you. He is a good guy that gets rid of all the annoying pesky little critters that do like to bite you. They may be ugly, but they too are only trying to live out their lives to the best of their ability. How would you like some 800' tall giant taking you and stuffing you into a glass jar? |

You can keep wolf spiders as pets. The only ones you really have to worry about are the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse. I was bit by a Black Widow. Our place is practically a BW farm. My side hurt for several days. It was a minor annoyance, but nothing more. A friend was bitten by a Brown Recluse. She almost lost her leg and now has a big chunk of meat missing that they had to cut out. |

My last roommates were so scared of the simplest stupid house spider and freaked the hell out over them until I would roll my eyes and kill it. Movie night at a friends house with a large group friends.....spider walked across the floor, everyone flipped out, I rolled my eyes and proceeded to walk towards it to kill it. Before I could get there a girl pulled her shoe off and was down on her knees beating the shit out of the spider with the shoe. Made me look at her differently. I have been dating her now for over a year.  |
