Any rabbit will do but I find the rabbits with pancakes on head are very tasty

Start a pot of white beans, dress rabbit and have onions, bell pepper and garlic ready to go

Brown rabbit and saute the holy trinity, slow cook for over an hr

White beans with smotherred rabbit with rabbit onions and gravy over beans side order of a pancake.(note to self, remember to remove rabbit hair off pancake before eating)

I've tried rabbit... I didn't like it. Same as venison, it just tastes off.

It all depends on the way you cook it. Also too cage rabbit vrs wild rabbit is 2 diffrent tastes. I prefer wild but due to my work load because of Katrina and Rita, I cooked a caged rabbit . Besides it is a lot less work in hunting a caged rabbit than a wild rabbit. edit to add is that if you do not like the gamey taste to soak it over night in milk.
