WAY TOO OFTEN I see a topic that interests me, and the "Subject" indicated pictures are enclosed.

OKAY. You've got my interest. So, I open the thread only to find that you can't see the rifle / handgun in the pic.

Newsflash people - a black / parkerized rifle, with either black, walnut or dark furniture DOES NOT show up well against a black backdrop.

Also, how about putting some light on the item you are photographing. If you can JUST BARELY see the pic when you are holding it in you hand, HOW THE HECK DO YOU EXPECT IT TO APPEAR OVER THE 'NET????

Granted, in the greater schceme of things, this is a small thing to gripe about. But with a crappy pic, you only waste my time looking, and lose yourself the sale.

garandman, i agree, can't people see that their pic isn't very good and try again till it comes out.

the trick is, NO GLARE !!! and good light.

this is a bad pic, low resilution and off lighting, it was takin fast and not meant to be very good. and still its better than most.

How about this?

"P10 UFO"

Glare?  Blame it on the s/s finish & nightime flash.

Terrible pic Kurt...too much flare.
Paul..it's 18%, not 22%
Tip of the day...Open your exposure 1 stop and place a piece of white t-shirt material over the flash to soften it.

taking a good pic with a 35mm is easy. i am using a $200 kodak digital. glare is MUCH more of a factor with a dig cam.

Tip #7, buy Adobe Photoshop. . .  it can  fix almost anything.

How about some different angled shots too. I know I'm too used to taking just a "flat" sided picture. Like this from the FAL board.
