Ok I was going through my Grandfathers pics from WWII and most of them have that stamped on the back. I wanted to scan some and post them in the Hall of Heros section but wondered if that would be a no go. Also I wish the military would censor photos like that now so we can fight a war without worrying about hurting someones feelings. Anyway, I will probably scan the ones that dont have a publication prohibition on them but some of the better ones have that on them. Pics of what happens when the Wehrmacht refuses orders from the SS. (some cool looking ghosty swirly stuff comming from the bodies) Some shot up cool looking experimental plane. M1 carbine action My Grandpa on his cool arse motorcyle with M1 in a sadlebag by the handlebars " " wasted with bottle of booze and looking wasted and pretty scary Cool looking pic of possible POW, or they were just screwing around and pretended to be a POW. HUNDREDS more Anyway wondering what yall though ot the legalities. PS I also have all his letters home, they are shrunk up pretty small though. Its pretty cool. They start in N AFrica and continue all the way to rebuilding and occupation of Germany. |
I would just hate to lose the photos. My other Grandfather who is still alive doesnt have many pics but he kept the V J Day paper. Reading that was fun and a lesson on how PC we have become. He also gave me a journal written by someone in our family during the civil war. |
Fully understand. |

Considering how long that war has been over, I doubt it would be an issue. I have a book here in which Green Berets and SOG teams were talking in detail about some of the top secret missions they did in Vietnam (and Laos and Cambodia) in the 1960's. They weren't suppose to talk about such stuff, but I suppose stuff that happened decades ago loses it's sensitivity. I wouldn't be worried about posting any of those pics. Technically, though this board is viewable to the public, it's still a private board. So basically, you're just sharing them with friends. And of course, if you still don't feel comfortable posting in here, there is the team forum. |
I was thinking just that. Team Forum I am gonna poke around and find out for sure because they are prettyy cools pics, Well to me anyways |
