Why not get a 10/22? They are fun, cheap and I think still ok in CA....OR if you gopt some money, how about a CAV-22?

What's a 10/22 and a CAV-22? I thought anything resembling an AR-16/M16 was banned in CA...?

A 10/22 is a .22 semiautomatic rifle made by Ruger. The factory mags hold 10 rounds but you can buy larger aftermarket mags. They are fun shooters, reliable, and accurate.

I just got back from CA, the weather was great. I'd want to live there but cant handle the idea of checking my weapons at the border. Hope you can find something thats fun and legal.

I know a lot of people here don't like the Mini-14, but I believe it is still legal in Kali, at least if you still have the wooden stock or a synthetic shaped like the wood and you still have the factory front sights, no FH. It is better than buying some of these bastardized AR's made for Kali and I believe that you can use hi-cap mags because it does not have any other 'evil' features. It is the same caliber as the AR's.
This really points to the absurdity of ALL these screwed up laws. They ban based on APPEARANCE, for pete's sake. What a joke. |

I left S.F area in 1973 after Finestein was reelected.
I went to L.B. in 1981 because my x took our child there. After I took custudy we left in 1983. During those times I owned many rifles that are now illegal. I would not give up my freedoms and return to KALI for anything. I suggest you move to a free state or buy an M1A. |
