Normal?  Normal is relative...

I remember having to go in for psych evals for the Air Farce on a reagular basis.  How I passed still amazes me.  Opening...

"Who are you and by what right do you pass judgement on my normality?  Do we use your definition of normal or mine?  Is normal for me the same as normal for you?

"I do not subscribe to your version of normalcy.  I do not care to be 'your' normal.  I am PERFECTLY normal for me, and I intend to stay that way."

Having said that, what is normal for me?  I am a mechanic, gunsmith, electrician, carpenter, machinist, systems and networks technician, mechanical engineer, pilot, sailor, and numerous and sundry other things.  I enjoy going "out the door" at 30K feet AGL, and pulling around 2K feet AGL.  I teach self-defence (armed and unarmed,) marksmanship, the force continuum, and the morality and legality surrounding the use of deadly force.

I am a registered lethal weapon.  I am skillful with anything I pick up, and I have been training my wife as well.  She is almost as dangerous as I am - the more so because she is so small.  I believe that guns do not kill - they are as much a too as my pocketknife and the hamers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other things I have in my toolbox.  

I believe that the government has NO REASON WHATSOEVER to tell me what to do or what not to do - they don't even know what I can do anymore.  I am trained by the government, but I am now a private citizen (subject to military recall) and I am no longer allowed to be what I have become.  I am worried that DiFi and others want to take "lethal weapons" off of the streets - what will become of me?

I believe that the only true weapon is the human mind.  All others are merely objects, with no intent or ability to take independent action.  I believe that gun bans, magazine regulations, buybacks, and other such state-sanctioned asininity will solve nothing, as urban crime continues to mount.

I am an extremist.  I want the government out of my life as much as possible.  I want our economy back on the Gold standard, and the Federal Reserve dissolved.  I want the dollar to be worth something again, and the money in my pocket to feel useful.

I would rather have Gold in the bank than paper or data.  If there is to be a "one world" currency, it is to be Gold, Silver, and Platinum (as needed to fill voids.)

I want the penny to go away.  It is not even Copper anymore, and is about as useful as feet on a fish.  They do not even make good shims or washers, they are worth less than they cost, and fill the full definition of "useless."

I want the UN disbanded.  If not that, I want the US out of it.  It is a Socialist organisation, and has been since inception.  We need it like a frog needs fur.  I believe that a "One World" government will not work.

I believe that the Great Political Experiment that we live in is the last best hope for mankind.  I believe that we need term limits on ALL politicians - they get FAR too comfortable in their jobs.  I believe that politicians should be paid a mere stipend for their service - public service is supposed to be a SACRIFICE.

I believe that the President should be a man who does not WANT the job.  It should not be a pinnacle of a career.

I believe that the best thing that the current breed of pols could do would be to review laws for rescinsion.  I believe that legal system is about to collapse under its own weight.  We have too many laws to enforce, and more all the time.  

I believe there should be an ability to challenge the Constitutionality of any law - and to nullify it if it fails.

I believe that laws should be written so that any graduate of high school should be able to READ and UNDERSTAND any law passed.  I believe that if "ignorance of the law is no excuse," then the legal system should be pruned SEVERELY!  One cannot help but be ignorant of many of hte laws now in force.

I believe that politicians wanting a raise for whatever reason should have their constituents vote upon it, and not their cronies.  I believe that the pay raise should be justifiable, so we can understand why they want it and decide whether or not to pass it.

I believe that people who DO NOT VOTE should NO LONGER BE CITIZENS!

I believe that the mass media is wrong - there is no public "right to know."  In many cases, the "need to know" rule should apply to media releases.  I belive that if the media wants to cover a beachhead operation in advance of the USMC, then they have NO right to protection while they are in the way.

I could go on...

Now you tell me - am I normal?

Ever since I was a kid I knew something about me was not.

Whoops...........now he's back!!

It all never really hit home until I got struck by lightning.  Seriously........struck by lightning and blown about 15 feet through the air when I was 17.

No burns.  No marks.  Just a sore right side of my body and a thick toungue.  Came to in total darkness lying flat of myt back.  I think I was dead.  Was speechless for about ten minutes.

Don't know how long I was out but right after that my stereo started telling me goodnight and I responded in kind.

Nothing has always been the norm although everything is.  I live in a place devoid of time and space where everything is but a flitter from the right and you turn to catch a glimpse and it is gone if it ever was there at all.

I have a very scary 6th sense as I know things many many times before they happen or before people say things.  Have gotten used to it but it still freaks some folks out.

I look normal except for the skin head and goattee.  Am a really nice guy but would not mind if a few folks were "out of the way".

Tired of my dog and my computer being my best friends but hey.........they have not failed me yet!

I have always felt mentally inferior, but I have a degree in computer science, have worked in Nuclear Power in the USN and I have built my own home.

I can count to 60 in my head and almost always be exactly on 1 minute.  I have always thought I was borderline insane and losing track of time was the first indication of insanity.

I have held a vendetta for over a decade before seeking retribution.

I am sure that I am normal.
