There are too many Dams on the rivers to get very far inland on boat.

the delay on the interstate is probably due to the old people driving in the left lane with the right turn signal on

This just goes to show you that the evacuation of a large metropolitan city is IMPOSSIBLE logisticly!

The current situation had a 3 day lead time. It still isn't working. Fact of the matter is, there isn't enough gasoline in the stations along the route to refuel even a small fraction of the vehicles.

It can't be done. Period. Just imagine a SHTF scenario where the isn't 3 days leadtime. Whatcha suppose would happen if there was an NBC attack on a major city? People will die wholesale.

.GOV knows mass evacuations of a metropolitan area is impossible. They merely don't want to admit the fact to the sheeple who expect .gov to protect them from every possible danger.

God bless all y'all down there in TX. Keep yer powder dry!

I'm not claiming to have actually looked at a map or anything, but would it have been better to go the opposite way of most traffic and hang inland as soon as you clear Houston?
