In these days of ruinous gasoline costs one must do whatever is necessary to save a few bucks in gas. I noted that the Chrysler reccommended tire pressure for my car is 35 psi cold. The tire has a listing of 44 psi max. So the question is: Should I stick with the list 35 psi or jack it up to 44 psi? Which would get me better fuel economy? |

Wrong. Chrystler did design the car, and therefore the weight and weight distribution on the tires. Always follow manufacturers recomedations. My car is suposed to be inflated to 29psi, andI have max 52psi tires on the car. If I follow the tire that car would handle horrible and the tires would wear completly in the middle only. Tire pressure is designed to keep the tires with the proper footprint. |
