I consider Wolf to be "the good stuff" for my AK and SKS and excellent blasting ammo through my AR. The new coating just made it that much better, although I never had any problems with the old laquer coating.

Same here, but in .223. My Armalite loves the stuff- no problems with it at all. US brass-cased ammo is a bit more accurate, but more expensive, too.

It worked this time, 2k on the way, $174.73. I think we all broke Cabelas for a few minutes there

Of course I went through ordering twice, the first time got an error when I confirmed it, knowing my luck 4k is gonna show, but that wouldn't be that terrible

I ahve a huge stockpile already, and really don't need more ammo. Of course, I ordered two cases.

My price was $174.73 for the two cases shipped to Washington State.

I just got my 2,000 rounds today as well. The four .50 cal ammo cans were a nice surprise

Did anybody else get a free stick of Degree Deodorant in their box of ammo ? My UPS man has already asked if he can come stay with us when the SHTF. He can have an AK and watch the North side of the house

I got another gift card in the mail today. Spend 100, get 25 free bucks off next purchase. So first 1K will be 75 and next 1K will be 50+tax and 4 free ammo boxes (10 bucks a pop value). Not bad, 2K rounds and 4 ammo boxes out the door for about 140 after taxes. I just got more today but can't help but jump on this deal.

BTW: What's the best way to store the ammo? Keep it in the plastic bags it came in in sealed boxes? What is the shelf life of Wolf?

I'll probably keep 2K on strippers/mags and the other 4K in the plastic.

Got my order yesterday. The bastards screwed it up! I got 2 .50 cal ammo boxes instead. Damn, $90 for 2 ammo boxes. I gotta get this sorted out now.

Your ammo will come in a separate package. I ordered two cases and I got three packages. One had two ammo cans only in it. The other two had the ammo and one can each.

What are your bad experiences?

I've shot about 2K of the 7.62x39 with no failures or stuck brass (steel) at all. It's fairly accurate out of my SKS's and cheap as hell.

Out of a lot of brands Wolf Match Target shoots the best out of my custom 10/22. A bulk pack of walmart will shoot quarter groups at 25 yards. With the Wolf I can shoot one holers all day in a 5 round group. Dimes at 50 if I do my part.

The only thing I don't like with the Wolf for the SKS is that it leaves the little red paint all over the insides. But it could also be good since it's used to seal the bullet from the elements. Is Wolf mil-spec since the primer and bullet have the water proofing on them? Would it last in storage as well as brass cased ammo, for 10-20 years, like the surplus you can pick up at AIM?

Same here. Despite the fact that it's supposedly poor ammo and smells like urine when shot, it still gets minute-of-looter accuracy and is good SHTF ammo for the price.

Stock up.
