Anyone use Danner boot dressing on their boots? What does it do? Is it a polish, waterproofer, conditioner? Is it worth getting or is there any other products I can get locally that will work as well? I have a pair of brown explorers. Thanks |

Best stuff I have found so far for boots is Logger's World Wax Oil. It's a Washington product, so I don't know if you can find it in KY. It is available thru mail order from Madsens. I enjoy the fact that as a liquid it goes on easy with a brush and seems to work as advertised. I generally think paste/greases are a big pain in the ass. When I was timber cruising, I religiously applied a paste type dressing to boots, and still had my high $$ boots crack at the Achilles area. Also, I think paying $10 for a tiny tub of grease is about as gay as it gets. The # 1 think you want to avoid is the leather drying out as stiff as a board and then cracking. |
