I received a link from one of my buddies screen names on AIM and I clicked it and my antivirus software brought up a warning that a trojan horse something had been caught and asked what I wanted to do with it. I deleted it, but now when I have AIM running it will randomly go through my buddy list and send the same link to them, which is obviously the virus.

I've tried scanning my whole system with my antivirus software, running spybot, and tried to search through the registry but I'm not that familiar with how to do it properly. I also uninstalled AIM and downloaded the new version and reinstalled it, but it does the same thing. Any suggestions other than reformatting?

Did you run the scan in safe mode? What programs you using?

Yeah I scanned it in safe mode. My antivirus software is called AntiVir Guard. I also scanned with Spybot Search and Destroy. The virus is starting to mess with my web browser now too. I'll be on a page and it will randomly go to another website that is blank except some weird symbols.
