you can't find a user's ip address, but you can fidn the ip address of the mail server.

google "whois"

you can also try: www.samspade.org

It will give the mail server info, plus who owns and maintains it. Sometimes there is also info to report abuse of the system, ie; spam and crank emails, etc........

If you have an actual email from them, you can look at the message headers you can see what IP the mail was originally sent from.
