Quick question

Does anybody know what the twist rate would be on a standard 1970s vintage Colt chrome barreled SP1?

I suspect it is 1/9 but could it have been 1/12?

Anybody know?

Thanks.

My next door neighbor, who is a Sheriff's Deputy, just bought a used SP-1 from a fellow deputy.  He was not sure of the twist rate to know if he can shoot 62 grain bullets.  The orginal owner had taken the triangle stock off and put on a tactical light handguard.  He also put on a CAR buttstock.  It looked funny and I think was a waste of a great vintage SP-1.
