The shifter on my wife's 2004 Explorer hangs up sometimes and does not want to go into "park." Anybody else have this problem?

Been to the dealer twice; it doesn't seem to act up when they look at it.

Anti-Ford people feel free to bash away as long as there is something constructive in your response.

Must be something with the mechinism that lets the tranny shift out of park when you press the brake in.

Other then that it's an exploder, what do you want from it?

It never acts up when the dealers look at it. Can you bring it to a different dealer for an idea on it? Maybe it has something to do with the steering column lock?
