I feel like crap.    Please do not even mention something that might contain alcohol in it.  I'll toss my cookies just thinking of it.

Sorry, but I think the bloody mary is the way to go. Just use good vodka in it.

I'm in the same boat.. I broke my ribs last night too, and have no idea how...

the problem that you have is dehydration and electrolyte depeletion, I think that there might be a sugar free version of powerade.

You can make up a "poor man's" Gator-aide with water, a lil OJ, some salt, and usually sugar, in your case maybe a little honey in place of the sugar?

Start drinking again, it goes away fast.

(Or if you have something to do today, drink water, it helps to drink water before going to bed after drinking too.)

Hefeweizen. Don't laugh--the yeast in it is full of B vitamins. I have never had a hangover from drinking homebrewed beer--the yeasties are good.

And as horrible as it sounds, the hair of the dog that bit you is effective as well.....

Moving around might help.

One way to not  get a hangover is to not go to sleep drunk.  Only go to bed after you have become moderately sober.  If you go to sleep while you are still drunk the alcohol stays in your body all night and wreaks havoc.

Drink a ton of water and eat. The more you pee and poop the more toxins you are pushing out of your system.

Eat greasy foods too, it always seems to help me.

Well I usually do not drink in such excess but that homemade wine bit me on the arse.  I did take my dogs for their run [I usually run with them but walked instead] and that did help.  I ate a scrambled egg because my sugar level is so high right now [which only adds to my nausea] but I didn't keep it down.

Horseradish works.

Lots and lots of water.

Aspirin, or something else that won't damage the liver (I think Advil can damage the liver after a long night drinking...)

Hair of the dog does work...a shot or so, wait 20 minutes, usually the hangover is gone (it also helps if you drink three metric tons of water in that 20 minutes..)

Or you can head the whole thing off at the pass...the night before/while you are drinking, pound some Gatorade or other rehydrating drink (like water) before drinking. It should soften any hangover the next morning.

Failing all that...pop some aspirin, take a nap. 30 minutes of sleep should cure ya

The KGB developed a pill that their agents would take BEFORE drinking, and it would negate the negative effects.  It was used so they could go out drinking and yet keep their faculties, and not get a hangover.  I think it can now be purchased.

Hair of the dog.

All of the cells in your body are going through alcohol withdrawal.  They're screaming for more booze.  Just pour a bunch more booze into your mouth and your body will calm down.

Unfortunately, the main side effect of this "cure" is that you can easily turn into a full-blown alcoholic if you use it enough.

Lots of water for rehydration, and Tylenol (or Advil or asprin, etc.) for the headache.  Medical oxygen really helps if you've access to it; it really helped to save my ass several times when I was in the military ever so many years ago.  (I think the only thing worse than reporting for duty drunk was reporting for duty really hung-over.....  YMMV however...)

One thing I learned long ago, drinking anything alcoholic with a sugar based mixer was just asking for misery; the sugar just helps dehydrate you all that much faster.  Once I learned to use water or soda instead of 7-up or Coke for mixing drinks my hangovers became far less severe and fewer in occurance.  Now I just drink shots neat with good booze,  and use water or soda as mixers with cheaper  brands of scotch or bourbon.

As for hangover pre-planning, after a night of heavy beer drinking I used to drink 5 - 6 glasses of water and take a couple of aspirin before going to bed.  Getting up to piss in the middle of the night was  miserable, but the hangover the next morning was more bearable and easier to live with.  Again, YMMV..............

No Gatorade!!!!  It has sugar.  Your body has sugar OD from processing the alcohol.

Three things for a hangover.

1.  LOTS of water.....before, during, and after you drink.
2.  Food.....before, during, and after!
3.  MODERATION!

Well cleansed and properly prepared menudo will kill a hangover. Fresh lime onion and chopped jalapenos. I no longer have to deal with the hangovers. I occaisionally still eat some menudo.
