Everytime I go to Subway and get a meatball sub and I get cheese on it, they then ask me if I'd like anything else on it. This question always throws me for a loop. Does anyone ACTUALLY put lettuce or whatever on their meatball subs or are they just springloaded to ask that question? One of them actually did ask if I wanted lettuce. I looked at her funny.

Just curious if people put weird crap on their meatball subs. Yeah, I'm bored.

One time one of my Aunts got me a meatball sub from Subway and she actually put lettuce on it. I ate it, didnt want it to go to waste and it didnt taste that bad but I told her that I thought lettuce didnt belong on a meatball sub.

Only other thing I put on a meatball sub is parmesian.

I've always wished that Subway were more like Quiznos in that each sandwich has a regular custom selection of ingredients that you could then alter to your tastes.

Most of the time, if I go to SubWay, I get everything on it (with a change in sauce and a few ingredients to match the sub).

I figure if I'm paying that much, might as well make it a biggie to fill me up, right? I'm just weird like that, I guess.

Had one today, from Quizno's.  I like meatball subs from Quizno's better than Subway.  But I like Subway's  good ole Spicy Italian.

Now, at Quizno's, the standard meatball sub is just meat and cheese.  If you want other stuff on it, you tell them.

meatball sub with american cheese (because subway is too cheap to have swiss cheese) lettuce, green peppers, and parmesian cheese

No one does that.

I ordered a cheese dog a few months ago at a local dog/gyros place.  They asked me if
I wanted anything on it. They must be insane.

Your subway might be cheap, but I've gotten swiss at a variety of subways. I don't know what the pattern is, I can't always find it.

'sides the cheese at subway isn't that great, can you really tell the difference.

related issue:

who the F teaches the people at Subway how to slice and dice?

here's the deal:
onions are not supposed to be "chunked"
Tomato slices should be no more than a 1/4 inch thick, and stop slicing when you're getting stem.

I keep a bag of frozen meatballs from walmart in the freezer at home. That way when I have a few too many beers and get the munchies I can thaw out a hoagie roll, heat up the meatballs and sauce and add mozzarella cheese. I think they are the same meatballs that subway uses, they taste the same.
