Goodyear sucks. They used to be the contract supplier for HMMWV and truck tires, their tires are the absolute worst crap even in the civilian market: RS-A Eagle LS Eagle anything CRAP. There are idiots who buy Crown Vics and buy Goodyear RS-A tires becuase they're "cop tires" and think they are the shiznit. Newsflash: Ford buys whatever tires are the cheapest as OEM equipment. They have a contract with GY that allows them to buy the RS-As at reduced prices. Police departments CONTINUE to use these shitty tires because they can also buy them at reduced prices, like $40-$60 a tire. They have good traction until 10k miles and then you can throw them out. Otherwise, normal sixpack joe/jane will have to buy them at $130 a tire. |
