If a parent buys a pistol for a kid that is 18, then it's a gift. What if , for conversation's sake, a 16 year old had a shitload of pistols, and the day he turned 18 private sale receipts were written for each one even if it was like 13 of them, would that be a straw purchase in Ky?

private sales recept not required.  As discussed on another thread a parent buying a gun for minor as a gift is not a straw purchase.

even if there are 13 pistols and 15 rifles/shotguns? All meet the legalities.

Are guns registered in Ky? IF not, no problem.

don't think quantity matters.  As long as the firearms were legally purchased by the 'rents  and Junior at 18 can legally posses firearms ( not a felon) all is good.  I would double check Kansas state law to verify one can posses handgunsat age 18 before transferring them
