what temp do you keep the AC set on in the summer?

I like 76º-78º.

Idk, I live downstairs in the basement so it's always cool.

I can't stand the heat, so mine won't get warmer than 65.

Since Texas summers are usually pretty brutal, I keep it around 78-80.

78 feels like winter during a Texas summer.

68-74 degrees fahreinheit is the perfect range for me, especially if there's a light breeze circulating through the house.

Of course, the womenfolk keep the place like a frigging sauna and bitch endlessly that they're freezing if it gets below 80 in the house.

I am a cheap bastard and only turn on the fan, no A/C. Then again, it never gets too hot here.

Between 65 and 70.  I have trouble sleeping if it's too warm.

So... what is the average high temp up in God's country in the summer?

72 on a normal day.  If I have a lot of "traffic" or company (lots of folks throwing off body heat when we have the family over for Sunday dinner) I'll knock it down to 68.
Granted I built the place myself and it is extremely well insulated.

ETA- in this neck of the woods, the majority of the gain in comfort level from A/C is from its dehumidifying property.  It's amazing how HOT 90F feels at 99% humidity, verus 100F at 10%.   72F in the A/C at 20% humidity is comfy.

Is somebody tabulating these weird statistics?!

*When did you go to Basic Training?

*What is your thermostat set at?

Must be trying to come up with the "composite ARfcommer".  Here, let me help you out:

-He's a 40 year old heavily armed white male who is suspicious of everyone except his dawg.  He has teeth like this ---> and eyes like this --->.  His wife looks like this ---> and his kids look like this --->.  His boss at work looks like this --->.  He doesn't like people who look like this --->.  He also has no idea what the hell this is --->.

What do I win?
