Me and new-argirl just played scrabble and I won. Most unusual words were dentile, avow and lax, the biggest words were beloved and training. Wimpiest words were ten, run, in and ox. Score was 303 to 290. She said it was the longest game she ever played. I take a long time to take my turn.

That and wasting a triple word score with a little word just to keep the person behind you from making a big score.

When my reserve unit got mobilized we played a lot.  And we used to play that if you used a "dirty" word it was a triple word score, and if you could use  regular  word in a profane or obscene manner that was worth a double word scoe.

Highest scoring word was zeal, with a triple word score and a double letter score which equaled 42 points.

you think 2 hours is a long game?  try playing axis&allies, it could go on for days/weeks/months.

I came close with a word that equaled 38 points according to the score sheet, but I cant remember what it was.

I've asked her if she likes Axis and Allies, but she never heard of it. I used to play that a lot. We used to have some real marathon games. She likes Risk, which is similar but simpler. So I think she would like A&A.
