Why is it that despite having DSL, there are just a few web pages that I try to go to fairly often, but they are incredibly slow to open, and the content isn't either fully displayed or red "x"ed out? These same web pages open fast at work, and on just about every other internet connection I use, except mine. It's not the web page itself, it's something at my end. It seems that it's maybe a settings issue with my browser? I don't have any issues with speed or content with 99% of all web pages I go to, but there are a few (two) that just don't work right. Anyone know if there's something I could adjust with my browser/firewall that would communicate better with them? Where would I start to troubleshoot this? |
If that was the case, then they'd be slow no matter where I logged on. The web pages I'm talking about open fast and reliably from just about any place other than my PC.....which would seem to indicate that their servers aren't the issue. |
McAffee, both. Rebooting now to see if your tip helped, and thanks. |
