I'm needing to write a letter stating that to the best of my knowledge that a gun was assembled before the ban date. Can you give me some ideas to put in it to cover my ass and the person I'm selling it to..thanks guys

I would, with the buyer, sign a sworn, notarized statement to the effect that you swear that the gun was assembled prior to the ban-- make sure that it is notarized and signed by both parties.
