Why can't we openly carry or carbines in our neighborhoods. Set up armed safe houses in suburbia. Every neighborhood should have an organized armed patrol to discourage this type of activity. I can't barely take it anymore, to hear about another killed child. Police are there to mop up. ZION, Ill. (May 9) - Two 8-year-old girls who disappeared Sunday were found slain Monday in a park in this city north of Chicago, authorities said. A resident walking through a wooded nature area in the park discovered the bodies around 6 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Clyde Watkins said. A bike path and a ravine run through the area, which police cordoned off Monday. |

Because the liberal bedwetters refuse to allow the very notion that people can be responsible for their own well-being. To even HINT at the thought of "ordinary citizens" defending themselves and those around them from criminals and predators would force them to abandon the pretext that "The Government will protect you". It's a total bullshit lie as multiple court decisions will attest that the police have no duty to protect the individual from any harm, only a general responsibly to the community at large. If they openly admit that their whole bullshit case for gun control and the superiority of the State over the individual goes down the shitter. They'll GLADLY see the sheep sacrificed in far greater numbers than admit that 1) THEY WERE WRONG and 2) THE STATE IS SUBSERVIENT TO THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE. |
| Because the powers that be don't want you to realize that they are worthless and that we can do without them. If everybody started taking care of their own 'hoods, we'd have little use for a lot of cops and lots of other tax drains, including politicians, lawyers, et al. |
He's from California

I miss those days when a child could walk to the drug store alone, buy some sodas or whatever (in my cass a tube of BBs) and walk back home no problem. |
How many cops/feds other "government types" end up shooting the wrong people? There are mechanisms in place to punish those that fuck up (usually). Problem is that historically the government types usually (not always) get off lighter than if Joe Citizen has a bad shoot. |
Man...when I was 8 years old I was constantly unsupervised. We go ride our bikes to the hill and go hiking, Catch pollywogs at the ditch or go on bottle hunts to make money for the movies. It's not that the kids were unsupervised, it's the we live in a society where the rights of criminal and other illegal people here and protected more strongly that the rights of average citizens. Odds are, the fuctard that killed these little girls has been involved in a molestation crime in the past. these people should just be shot!!! Period!!! There is no way anyone can pay society back for a crime they commit against out children. Fuck rehabilitation. Killing them is the only sure solution!!! |
In a perfect world this would be true. Unfortunately this is not the case, and yes my child was constantly monitored even in my own front yard!!!(She is 21yrs. old and I still worry when she is gone)......... No one said being a parent would be easy, do what you have to do to safeguard your kids, or they may end up victims.(If you can prevent thant from happening wouldn't you do it???).........

What I'm getting at is as a COMMUNITY it is everyones RESPONSIBILITY to take care of each other. If you see kids playing unsupervised, take care of them as if they were your own. If we all did this, take responsibility for people in our communities, maybe we would stop finding or children killed. If that means playing basketball out front of the house with my M4gery handy, so be it. |
Yes I have kids. And at the age of 8 they were never out of their parents sight. SGatr15 |
Me too. Momma would call us to come home when it got dark. Untill then, we were on our own to explore. |
Yes, we watch our kids here. If you guys don't want to take responsibility for your own children then don't get pissed when the state can't protect them. ANd now you are asking for a law to form "groups" of people, instead of just doing your own job as a parent. Makes no sense. Watch your kids and they will be safer Sgat1r5 |
When I was kid I was out in the back woods playing at 4 years old. It's the times, not the parents. Kids should be safe when they go out and 8 is not too young for kids to be out playing. |
it takes a village right? SGatr15 |
In CHICAGO???????????? Sgatr15 |
Unfortunately this isn't possible any more. You see the liberal bedwetters are more than happy to tell us that "It takes a village to raise a child" but if you DARE even think about acting like that you'll be confronted with angry parents accusing you of "interfering" in their parental rights and how dare you even think to utter a word to my child! Followed by a call to the police to arrest you for "threating" their precious spawn and then followed by a call to their lawyer to sue you out of existence for daring to "meddle" in their affairs. What the liberals REALLY mean is "It takes a GOVERNMENT to raise a child" as in GOVERNMENT schools, GOVERNMENT subsidies, GOVERNMENT welfare programs, GOVERNMENT police and GOVERNMENT social services, NOT the *TRUE* village that is a group of concerned citizens looking out for each other. Sorry, just simply won't work today. We've painted ourselves into a corner and as long as a web of laws and lawyers continue to choke any common sense to death, it will continue to get worse. |
No, but that's not the point. It's the breakdown of society that I'm talking about. |
Yes - well, actually I grew up in the south 'burbs, but yes, in the Chicago area, we got 'cat-tails' from the railroad ditch and 'smoked' them, got tad-poles from the ditch and watched them grow into frogs, and an entire bunch of other fun things, from about 7 years old on. What WERE our parent's thinking?
